The Chinese American Museum presents “Origins”

CAM Origins

A week ago, we had the opportunity to visit the Chinese American Museum nearby for the opening of their newest exhibit, “Origins.”  As a permanent exhibit, “Origins” explores the creation and development of Chinese American communities like Los Angeles’ Chinatown and the San Gabriel Valley through photos, documents like land deeds, costumes, and artifacts.

Here are two photos from the exhibit:

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm.  Admission is $3 for adults (wow, that’s steal!!) and the museum, housed in the Garnier Building (a historic treat in itself) is located at:

425 N. Los Angeles Street (cross street Arcadia)
Los Angeles, CA 90012
